Our dear friend Michael Consiglio was found unresponsive at home on July 16th after not feeling well for several days. He was rushed to the Emergency Department at Yale New Haven Hospital, where he was placed on life support. Mike is currently fighting for his life, with significant brain injuries, and the medical team is uncertain if he will ever wake up.

Mike is a dedicated husband to Cindy and a loving father to Olivia and Ben. Beyond his family, Mike is deeply loved by his YNHH family. As an exceptional nurse, he has cared for thousands of patients in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit at Yale New Haven Hospital. Mike is the leader, the “rock” of the SICU, a person who always puts others first and is beloved by all who know him. His absence is profoundly felt, and the impact of this difficult time extends beyond his immediate family.

Cindy is currently on leave from her job to be by Mike’s side, and Olivia is preparing to start college in just three weeks. As hospital bills and college expenses loom, we want to ensure that Mike’s children can focus on their futures without added financial stress.
